DAIRY-FREE TURMERIC LATTE
This is one of our favourite warm evening comfort drinks that is also full of antioxidants and super anti-inflammatory.
If you avoid dairy, drink it as suggested in this recipe, or you can replace almond milk with coconut, oat or just regular (preferably organic) milk.
Preparation time: 5 min
Ingredients for 2 cups:
2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
maple syrup or honey (optional)
How to make it:
Heat up almond milk and use a whisk to stir in turmeric, pepper and cinnamon. Bring to boil and then cool down to a drinkable temperature.
If you wish to add honey or maple syrup, wait until the drink has cooled down a bit rather than adding it when it's still extremely hot, to make sure that you don't lose any of it's awesome nutrients.
